Understanding the Founder's Table Grant for Churches

The grant is designed to put resources in your hands so that entrepreneurs can be unleashed in your church.

What is a grant?

The Basics

Most churches are used to donations. These are usually for the general use of the church. Sometimes donations come with a "designation" such as a building fund or missions. A grant is similar to a designated donation because it has a specific purpose. In this case, to kick off a program to ignite the faith of entrepreneurs in your church.

The purpose of the Founder's Table Church grant is to run an entrepreneur small group to make connecting at church much easier.

You're in charge of "the who", "the when", and "the where." The grant puts resources in your hand.

The sole purpose of the grant is to equip and encourage your church with vibrant, enthusiastic entrepreneurs.

Where do the funds come from?

We're sharing a grant with you.

The funds and resources provided come from a grant that our nonprofit has received. We're just sharing them with your church.

A family foundation operated by a Christian family is passionate about people coming to Christ, and has invested in church resources and health for many years because they believe in the role of the local church.

Our team has managed grants like this before, which are for building up (or in fancy words, "capacity building") in the church.

Getting Specific

What does the grant provide?

The grant that your church can apply for has two parts: cash and resources. In grant language these are called "cash and in-kind" donations.

The value of the grant is $5,000.

The Cash: Once you complete a few simple steps, we send a check to your church for the cost of your kick-off dinner. The cash total is capped at costs of a meal for 20 people averaging $65 each. Any costs related to the kick-off event can be supported. If you want to add resources to this event, you're free to do so, but many churches don't spend anything beyond this for the event.

Resources: Our goal is that you have everything that you need to have a meaningful experience with entrepreneurs. The grant provides group facilitator training, training manual, discussion guides based on core scripture principles of stewardship and intimacy with God, printed journals for each participant, and an online communication resource so members can chat and stay connected.

Don't forget the t-shirt. Pastors and facilitators get one of those, too.

The Process

Once you've applied for the grant in a simple form (none of those long applications), we'll set up a meeting with our team to make sure you understand the details and that this is a good fit. We're looking for Jesus-following, Bible believing churches that want to unleash entrepreneurs to be all they can be as part of the church body.

How many churches do you know that get a grant to enhance their ministry?

Who we are

About Us

The Founder's Table Network is a program of Capacity to Serve, Inc. A Virginia-based nonprofit and 501c3 Organization.

We subscribe to the Lausanne Covenant and are not denominationally affiliated.

Our vision comes from Ezekiel 47

Ezekiel chapter 47 describes a river flowing from the new temple of God. It describes a river that gets deeper and wider. A river that turns salty water fresh, lined with fishermen whose nets are always full. It describes trees where birds are safe to build nests, with fruit that is always ready to eat and leaves that heal.

We desire to be a community that brings this kind of life into the marketplace and into the local church. May encounters with our team, with our programs, and with our teaching always yield:

Deep, Refreshing Waters

Since entrepeneurs are risk-takers, communities that welcome entrepreneurs should challenge us to go all-in with Jesus. But along with the risk will always be the refreshing reality of the presence of Jesus and the reward the follows our "obedient yes."

Fisherman with Full Nets

We desire to be a place that always yields return as entrepreneurs and pastors find a place of connection, and where God's provision is easy to see and experience.

Ripe Fruit, Year-Round

God's vision is a nutrient-rich Kingdom of Heaven on earth, where the Holy Spirit is evident and where growth and life cannot be tamped down.

Leaves that Heal

Encounters with Founder's Table Network should always bring wholeness and healing, leaving everyone more aligned with Jesus and connected to the local church than before.
